TEACHER TRAINING COURSES HAVE BEEN ORGANIZED IN OVORKHANGAI AND ZAVKHAN PROVINCES.

The Leopard Conservation Foundation, in partnership with the UK Department for Environment, Food and Agriculture (“DEFRA”) and the Wildlife Trade Reduction Fund (“IWTCF”), organized a training course to train trainers to empower state environmental inspectors in snow leopard range areas as part of the “Empowering Communities and Conservationists to Protect Snow Leopard Habitat” project.

The training provided state environmental inspectors in snow leopard-prone regions with methodologies and practical knowledge to reduce the illegal trade in wildlife, ensure monitoring and inspection, and conduct crime scene inspections, and trained trainers who will train other conservationists in the future.

The training was attended by specialists from the provincial Department of Environmental Protection, the National Institute of Natural Resources and Environment, and conservationists.
