The International Snow Leopard Conference was held between the 5th and 11th 2014, in Biskhkek, Kyrgyzstan by Ministry of Nature and Forest. The conference was participated by NGOs, governmental organizations from 12 range countries and various donor organizations.

Mr. Munkhtsog PhD, senior scientist of Institute of Biology, Ms. Erdenechimeg B, conservation and education program manager of SLCF were delegates from Mongolia to attend the conference.

The main topics discussed during the conference were as the following;

  1. Strengthen country programs’ effectiveness while creating leading teams and build capacity of the secretariat of GSLEP.
  2. Identify at least 20 snow leopard landscapes to be protected
  3. Identify and discuss the first two priorities of each country for snow leopard conservation, create indicators of international snow leopard programs and improve proposal writing to international donors.
