Goldman Foundation supports the Snow leopard Conservation Foundation’s project

In 2019, SLCF was granted by Goldman an award to help create the 1.8 million-acre Tost Tosonbumba Nature Reserve in the South Gobi Desert—a critical habitat for the vulnerable snow leopard.

The organization announces small projects among awardees to further support our work, and in 2022 our organization will receive funding to enhance Community Capacity Building Activities.

The project duration is one year and we will be working with 15 conservation communities to support and secure community responsible areas (CRA) to the approval of the local authorities while updating conservation communities certificates.

Also within CRA we will build the capacity of volunteer rangers to conduct some wildlife surveys.

The project period will end in June 2023, and we are confident that this investment will make a significant contribution to improving the capacity of conservation communities, and we are happy that communities are actively participating in the project.
